The revamped landscape rethinks the office building’s branding and presence along the streetscape frontage and the meaning and purpose of a back sunken garden. A parterre inspired landscape design for the front address presents a bold rectilinear pattern consisting of Chanticleer Pear trees, purple Barberry, Sapphire Blue Oat grasses and Henry Hudson rose. Notched within the building’s recesses, an understated foundation planting of Yew shrubs interspersed with Serviceberry trees provides a calm background. The sunken garden is a naturalistic design with an informal composition of shade-loving shrubs, perennials and ferns that provide interest and a carefree charm to be viewed and enjoyed from the lower office space windows.
