The commercial centre is located along a bustling commercial corridor in northwest London. Framed by two buildings at a busy intersection, a prominently positioned public space begged for a strong landscape presence to announce the front address and identify a pedestrian connection. The centralized pylon sign is anchored by swirling drifts of ornamental grasses, shrubs and colourful perennials that overlap the space, define the edges, extend along the building frontages and blend into the drive-thru. The sculpted landscape is countered by zigzagging concrete paving and staggered bench seating to create a welcoming space that is an intrinsic link to the centre’s interior.
